When you message our Instagram account @gulngifts, we use the Instagram Messaging integration on the Meta Platform to receive and store: your Instagram-scoped user ID, your Instagram profile name or handle, the text of the messages you send us, and any media you attach (photos or voice notes). To understand what you're asking for, attached voice notes are automatically transcribed to text and attached images are automatically described using AI processing. We use this Instagram data only to reply to your inquiry on Instagram, prepare a quote, confirm and coordinate your order, and provide follow-up support. We do not use Instagram message data for advertising, and we do not sell or share it for any unrelated purpose.
Information is used solely to confirm the order on WhatsApp or Instagram, coordinate delivery with the courier, photograph the styled gift for your approval, and provide post-purchase support.
We do not sell or rent personal data to anyone. We do not run third-party retargeting on your phone number. We do not use your Instagram or WhatsApp message content for advertising. The only marketing message you'll receive is via WhatsApp on the number tied to your most recent order, and you can opt out at any time by replying STOP.
Order details are shared only with operational partners required to fulfil delivery — typically Trax or Leopards courier services. Bank transfer details remain between you and your bank. Aggregated, non-personal analytics may be visible to Meta Pixel and Google Analytics for ad performance measurement.
To run this website and our messaging systems we rely on a small number of infrastructure providers who process data strictly on our instructions and only to deliver their service to us: Vercel (hosting and content delivery for this storefront), CloudClusters (database and application hosting where order, message, and lead records are stored), and Cloudflare (DNS, content delivery, and the secure tunnel that delivers Instagram and WhatsApp messages to our system). These providers act as data processors for GulnGifts and are not permitted to use your data for their own purposes.
Retention depends on the type of data. Instagram and other social-messaging data — including message content, attachments, and the lead record created from your inquiry — is retained for a maximum of 24 months from your last interaction, after which it is deleted or anonymised. Order and financial records are kept longer (typically 3–7 years) where required for accounting, warranty, and tax compliance in Pakistan. You can request earlier deletion of data that falls outside a legally required retention window.
You can ask us to delete the personal data we hold about you, including the data collected when you message us on Instagram. To submit a request: (1) email support@gulngifts.pk or message us on WhatsApp at 03262368000; (2) tell us it is a data-deletion request and include the Instagram handle, phone number, or order reference you used so we can locate your records; (3) we verify the request comes from you and then delete the associated message, lead, and contact data within 30 days, except records we are legally required to retain for tax or accounting. We use cookies for two things: keeping your basket between visits, and measuring ad performance via Meta Pixel and Google Analytics. You can clear cookies any time in your browser settings without affecting your ability to order.
